The Sund Convertible Lead is handmade from 10mm RPET rope: recycled polyethylene terephthalate made from post-consumer plastic bottles, sourced and made in Europe. The rope is a 48-strand double braid with a breaking strength of 1,650kg, OEKO-TEX certified (non-toxic, safe for dogs and humans), waterproof, mould-resistant, and silky smooth in the hand. Polyester does not absorb water, so it dries fast and stays light when wet. We chose it because it performs better than most virgin alternatives and closes a material loop we felt good about closing.

The lead can be configured in multiple lengths and wearing positions. The most common uses: standard lead, short traffic lead for busy streets, over-the-shoulder for when you want both hands and full control. One lead, fewer purchases.

The current lead is 4 metres. If you need a different length, get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate a pre-order.

Yes. The hardware is rated well above peak leash forces measured in published biomechanics studies. That said, a harness distributes leash force across a dog's chest and ribcage rather than concentrating it on the neck. We recommend pairing the lead with a well-fitted harness.

Because building Sund without outside investors means the community gets to be part of it. Every lead sold is a small piece of crowdfunding: it helps cover the cost of developing what comes next, and it tells us there are people who believe the harness and synbiotic are worth building.

We are not chasing venture capital. We are building in public, sharing the process honestly, and asking people who want better products for their dogs to back that with a purchase they will actually use. We have a milestone of 150 leads backed. When we get there, you will hear about it.

We make the lead in small batches. When a batch sells out, you can pre-order the next run. Get in touch at renske@sund.dog or via the "Contact to pre-order" button to reserve yours. We will confirm availability and lead time by return.

Yes, for pre-orders. Standard lengths are made in each batch, and we can accommodate custom lengths on request. Contact us before placing your order.

We ship across Europe. If you are outside Europe, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Orders ship within 1 to 3 working days of the batch being ready. You will receive a tracking link by email.
